I don't know about everyone else but I am a total drama queen and absolutely LOVE dressing up for Halloween!!! It is my time of the year to go all out with my girlfriends and just be girls! I am being a nerd this year because we are going with a back to school theme. What are you guys being???

An Egyptian! Easy with my coloring! I LOVE Halloween! I like the back-to-school theme. I always go with a packaged store-bought costume, I'm jealous of the people who come up with their own creative stuff.

I have to work, and since I work at a pet store, I'm being a cat. We have to wear our uniforms so I'm just wearing a headband with ears, whiskers and a tail.

I already posted this on the other Halloween threads, but why not again? ;o)

FI, my sister, her boyfriend, and I are going as Nickelodeon Guts (the tv show)  I'm going to be Mo(!) and they're going as the contestants.  We're building an Aggro Crag trophy and everything.

@KellyV: People that aren't like 23-28 haha.  I've mentioned it to people at work and they just look at me strange.

We got the idea because last year we saw people dressed up as both Double Dare and Legends of the Hidden Temple.  Plus it works perfectly for four people (although you could make someone Mike O'Malley as well I guess)

Man, both of those shows used to be my favorites when they were on.  I just turned and asked one of our new hires (22 years old!  ugh i feel old) if she recognized any of those.  Not even faint recollection.  Then I said Nickelodeon and she mentioned "doug" and "rugrats."  man...she missed the GOOD nickelodeon! Remember "You Cant Say That on Television" ?!?!

Still looking!!  We were going to go as "Where's Waldo" and Carmen Sandiego but I've had no luck finding a red trench coat that isn't too expensive to be a costume.  I think we're going to be clowns as a back up because it's getting to be slim pickins'.

I'm going as Rainbow Brite!!! and so excited. I'm 29... and I've talked to ladies 23-25 years old who haven't heard of the 80s cartoon Rainbow Brite.  I'm NOT that much older than them x)

I posted before on the same thread as Hot Child!  I'm going as the "American Beauty" rose petal scene.  My costume is pretty much done!  Nude bodysuit with rose petals sewn all over.

What I really want is to see pictures of everyone's costumes post-halloween!

I'm 21 (ok almost 22) and have heard of and watched ALL of those nick shows. They were definitely still on when I was growing up and I LOVED watching them :) It doesn't hurt that I had two older sisters who grew up on that stuff and influenced my TV watching decisions :p

@DreamgirlJane: I was Rainbow Brite as a kid and it was my favorite costume!

@BrianaLaura: I think that is such a good idea for a costume!

Um, AWESOME ideas!! Mail-order bride? Scene from American Beauty? Archeological dig? Where's Waldo? 80s characters? Why can't I come up with this stuff!

Funny, I am 30 and I must be juuust too old for the Guts show. I was Double Dare and You Can't Do That On Television (best show ever!)

Remember how that darned slimey slide at the end of the obstacle course got all the contestants on Double Dare every time? Just when you thought they were going to make it - the dreaded whipped cream (or whatever it was,) slide knocked them out of the running!

@KellyV: Doug and Rugrats were the best! Don't be hatin' just because they were after your time. :P

I'm going as a trophy rack and my man is going to be a rack hunter. I don't want my grandmother to see the pics on facebook though...oh well! Too late to change now!

I Alllways wanted to be on Legends of the Hidden Temple! I loved GUTS too, Double Dare... I also loved Win Lose or Draw, but I think that was on Disney??

As for Halloween costume ideas... I don't have any yet :(  But I do love that mail order bride idea, hilarious!!

@Hotchild & Circus peanut - Thanks ladies!  I am nervous to wear it, seeing as it's just a bodysuit, but I dressed as Leeloo from Fifth Element before so I think I can do it!

Circus peanut, you just have to think and look around a lot.  I am all about having more 'original' costumes because it's exciting for me.

Hot Child, Last year I saw someone dressed as Polkaroo (which is a totally Canadian reference, so it was like the Nickelodeon thing for you guys, which we don't have up here).  People love that re-visiting the childhood stuff!

Mr.K and I are going as Mustard and Ketchup (I'm the ketchup and he's the mustard).  It's silly, but (a) warm and (b) comfortable :)

In years past we have been: Robots, Happy Meal, Michael Jackson and thriller video zombie, Sponge Bob Square Pants and sidekick...  I guess we like silly costumes :)

A friend of mine gave me a spectacular idea the other night! She suggested going as an American Girl doll! (You know you loved them when you were a pre-teen!) I am blonde so I was thinking of trying to find a blue dress and be Kiersten. I also thought that one of the best possible costumes for girls in their mid-20s would be getting a group together and going as the Babysitters Club (lucky girl whoever gets to be Claudia with her crazy outfits).

I think I'm going to be myself... a fifty foot bride! After all, I drew-ed her, so I should be able to dress like her. :p  I'd jack myself up in 4 inch heels, that way I'll be 6'7." Plus I need little toy cars to smash in my hands. And buildings to stomp. :p

I already posted my halloween costume somewhere else too, but I'll do it again!  My boyfriend, roommate (bf's best friend), and I are being Scots from Braveheart.  We just made the kilts the other night and bought our swords.  Really excited!  I'll definitely post pictures later.

We finally nailed down our costumes - Hillbilly Bride and Groom - I'm so excited for this. It's funny ... because I plan to wear cowboy boots, a wife beater, a short skirt or daisy dukes, and some other stuff - I already had most of it in my closet!!!

DreamgirlJane: I was Rainbow Brite last year (and one of my good friends was Stormy), and it was so fun! (By the way, I'm turning 23 this Halloween and I definitely watched TONS of Rainbow Brite when I was little)

This year I'm probably not dressing up because FI and I will be at Disneyland.
