What are you all dressing up as? I'm a teacher and so I'm super stoked for Friday dress-up day at school!! Can't wait to see the kiddies in costume =)

I'm still not 100% sure what to be yet because I'm a special needs teacher and so my work is really really hands on. I don't want my costume to tear/get ruined!

    Anyone got pics?

We're going as Jon and Kate, but without the 8 lol I still have to go get our costume. It's kinda funny cause hubby is Asian and I'm caucasian, so we won't have to try too incredibly hard :p

We celebrated Halloween last weekend (our home town does it a week early due to ferry schedules and weather- (we live on an island)).  We went as Ketchup (me) and Mustard (the hubs).  People loved them!  It was fun and comfortable. :)

@Joeswifey: I saw tons of people go as Jon and Kate + 8 and just as "Kate + 8). They were REALLY funny.  Then last night, I saw Kate Gosselin's "Question and ANswer" episode and she actually commented on the fact that tons of people are dressing up as her for Halloween.  She ended up complaining that she wasn't getting any of the proceeds from TLC for it.   Gotta love 'er!

haha yep! About to head out and buy THE wig :D And going to buy hubby an Ed Hardy tee (so expensive!!). I want to get him an earring too, but I'm not sure where to get clip on or sticky earrings these days lol

@MrsK2be heh I'm not sure if a person can trademark a hairstyle and make a profit off of it... lol Crazy Kate.

    Hahaha! That's funny about Kate!

We're going as a Hillbilly Bride and Groom. I so can't wait - I got the cowboy boots, daisy dukes, and white tanktop ... just gotta add some finishing touches and get the boy a flannel to cut the sleeves off of!

We are going as a corpse bride and groom.  Believe it or not I actually had a harder time finding a halloween gown than I did my bridal gown!  I just picked up a suit for the future husband for only 6 bucks :)

@JoesWifey- surely Claire's or something like that will have those stick on earrings for little girls!! hahaha and awesome on the Ed Hardy t-shirt!

@prairyway- maybe get a super cheap thrift store gown, add paint/fabric dye, and rip it up a bit?

Fiance and I are going to a 'zombie prom' where they want everyone to be dressed in actual halloween costumes and then zombify those costumes.

We are going to be Zombie Mac & PC

I'm going as... a bookseller. Since I'll be at work. Being a bookseller.

I love the idea of both a pinata and a freudian slip, though. Cracks me up.

@His Barista - check Target! I got my bright red ones there (for my Blair costume) for $4.99. I'm pretty sure I saw some white ones - they had tons of colors.

I probably will only wear my devil horns to work because my costume is SO not appropriate for work! I got a cute 'beer girl' outfit that I found on the Fredricks of Hollywood website when I was ordering my corset for trying on dresses. Except when I got it, I realized that the lace part that covers my chest is actually see-through! So I'll definitely be wearing a white bra or tank under it when we go out on Saturday.

On the plus side though, I tried it on for my hubby, without anything under it, and he said that all he wants for his b-day (a couple days after Halloween) is for me to wear the costume again. Score, I don't have to buy him something now! Wink

Got the Kate wig! And the Ed Hardy shirt (a tshirt for $50 WITH a discount. sheesh) and a few other things lol I'll try to get a picture of it tomorrow. I'm not sure yet what to wear with my wig! lol I was thinking a business suit, and I'd call myself "Kate, the courthouse edition" but I don't have one :p I didn't make it to claires to look for the earrings either. It was just way too wet and rainy!

@JoesWifey: That is going to be so funny!! Make sure you post some pictures. I would love to see them. If you are looking for your 8, you can also go to the thrift store and buy 8 baby dolls and just pin them all over your clothes, and that can be your costume. haha.

Probably nothing this year -- last year I went as a fairy (decorated a white slip with silk leaves and wore it overtop of a brown dress, along with wings I made myself out of wire, "smoke"-coloured pantyhose and more silk leaves, and leaves in my hair) and the year before that as "Bunnie!Jenn" (it's this thing I came up with, a little cartoon bunny-me that I drew on cards and stuff to my fiance-then-boyfriend; "she" wears a kimono & sneakers and has bunny ears and a tail). Before that I think I was the Phantom of the Opera.

@beexiong heh, I thought about the dolls, but we're going to have a puppy with us (it's a small dog halloween party at the animal shelter hubby works with), so it just seems like itll be too tricky to have so many dolls AND a puppy lol

I think the Jon and Kate idea is hilarious!

I think I've probably commented on like 12 other threads about this, but me, FI, my sister, and her boyfriend are going as Nickelodeon GUTS.  They're going as the three contestants, and I'm going as Mo.  We're finishing up making the costumes tomorrow (we did all the stuff ourselves!)
