The place I booked my reception at has a wedding cake that is $3.00 per person. This is a K of C, not a regular reception hall. So if we had 100 people it would be $300 dollars. Though this guy suggested we might order a cake for only 75 people since some people don’t eat cake…
Does that sound reasonable for a wedding cake? Or are there wedding cakes for even less out there, you know like bakeries, etc?

This is really quite cheap for a cake. I don’t think you’ll find much cheaper outside of grocery store cakes etc. I was going to say that the price really depends on the quality of the ingredients and the intricacy of the design but pretty much anything you’d get for $3 a slice is pretty decent a price imo.

Our cake is $3.17 a slice. We’re getting a 3 tier cake for 150 people and its $475 before tax. i think that is a pretty standard price. i remember seeing a post recently about this and the price changes drastically in some states!
heres the link to that post:

That is a really good price for a cake 🙂 I wouldn’t get a cake that may be too small…I would atleast get sheet cakes so everyone can have cake…it would be awful to tell a guest they couldn’t have any because you didn’t order enough.
