I am working on my RHR but I have never had a halo or thought about a halo before (well, until now!) so I want to make sure it looks perfect. You ladies know so much about halos so I would love your opinions!
First, I should note, I want this ring to look VERY different than my engagement ring/wedding band set. My engagement ring is a 1.58 ct solitaire princess cut on a plain skinny platinum band and the wedding band is a thin band of diamonds.
So, I am looking to have a 9 mm OEC barely pink moissy set in a round halo setting with rose gold.
This setting is close: http://blog.schubachstore.com/blog/2013/02/21/n-y-round-double-halo-engagement-ring/ (but no split shank, no double halo and no pave on the undercarriage just plain rose gold- I would get this exact setting if it were within my budget for this ring).
It will basically be a semi custom of the below setting but with a round stone and a round halo (pink stone, rose gold etc.): http://blog.schubachstore.com/blog/2013/01/11/t-b-cushion-cut-halo-engagement-ring/
My main question: I originally did not want stones on the shank- I really wanted the rose gold to show and also I worry about stones falling out with too many side stones.
But now I am going back and forth. Do you think it will look weird without stones on the shank? Do any ladies have examples/pics of rings with just the halo but a plain band? Most pics I see on the bee have diamonds on the shank. I seriously can’t decide. Thanks for your help!
