My father is addicting and my fi is somewhat....on occasion...if I allow him.
Ugh, my dad went through like a mid-life crisis and games was his way out..but he didn't like let go yet..it's just so frustrating.
No, my bf is pretty meh towards Halo. He's got one or two, but doesn't play them all that often.
His current game-crack is Starcraft.
Nope, he's not obsessed with HALO, but that's only because he's a PS3 kinda guy. He recently found this thing that's similar to Netflix but its called Gamefly and its only for games. You may want to do everything in your power to avoid this lol. So what happens is he becomes obsessed with a certain game, and then, when its done, they send him another one and he's obsessed all over again! So annoying. I'm like, ok, so you're 30 now, any chance this will end? Probably not. But I guess its better than going out and getting wasted regularly right? Hang in there!
My FI had an XBox 360 but it kept crapping out on him so he just recently got the PS3 and has been playing it non stop. He loves video games of any sort. He did get me a game for the PS3 though---Little Big Planet and I love it! So I play that every once in a while but most of the time, he's on it. He was never much into the Halo games though when he had the XBox.
not halo, but nhl '10!!! he's obsessed... it's kind of cute though lol.
FI is a total Halo nerd. He LOVES it. He played all night and, apparently, beat the game around 2am. So maybe it won't be too interuptive now? Yeah. I'm sure that's just wishful thinking!
Oh yes FI is obsessed with Halo. We had to wait outside GameStop for 3 hours the other night with the midnight release. I don't understand it, but hey if it gets him off my back about me writing wedding plans between classes so be it.
@jennifer_espos: Oh it is too late for us...he's had a Gamefly subscription for years now. Luckily I can sneak some fun Wii games in the queue for myself!
@missrain: yeah...he probably beat it on one difficulty level...last night I found out there are FOUR difficulty levels. Then of course there is the co-op aspect of the game. I think we should settle in for a long fall / winter with Halo every night
@Piccateer Yes, apparently he beat the Hard level but still has to beat the Extreme level. *sigh* And there are challenges to work on. I gave him a pass on wedding stuff through the end of the month, and then he has to put the game second in favor of getting this wedding planned. It's in 100 days! Not a lot of time left!
My FH loves NHL'10 - He is not obsessed though..lol. I think that I might be more excited about Halo coming out. I love that game. After I stopped shooting the sky and at my feet I started to like it! By no means am I any good. But FH likes that I try :)

Hey hive!
So I'm sitting here watching DH play Halo: ODST that just came out today. I won't have access to the Tivo for a good month. I'm sorta sad. Anyway, this is the perfect night for a post-a-thon cause you guys will keep me entertained!
Anyone else lose their husbands to Halo tonight?
