I have the plain shank version of that ring:

And the profile view:

I love the ring, and the worksmanship is wonderful.  The band is quite skinny, so the effect is very dainty.  My only complaint about the setting is that it’s set so high!  I believe James Allen custom makes these settings for the center, since the halo is precise.  If I’d known that beforehand I would have asked to have the halo set as low as possible.  Another thing to be aware of is the pave on this ring is quite small, so the ring will have to be babied a lot more than your current solitaire.  It won’t hold up to the same kind of wear-and-tear.

Hope this helps!

@LavenderBride24:  Thanks!

I do knock it into things, but I have gotten somewhat used to it and it happens less than it used to.  I don’t wear it every day, though, partly because it is so high.

abirdword:  Hello! I know it’s been a while since this post, but I ran across your ring because that is almost how I want mine! I purchased a blue sapphire from somewhere else and plan to send it to James Allen to have it in that exact setting. I was wondering how many mm your center sapphire is?
