I like them!  And I’m chuffed to hear that you don’t see many because I don’t want something too common  Here is the ring I think I want – I can’t get it out of my head!

Well, neither of your options really suited my opinion, so I thought I would just post what I think. Personally I don’t like the shadows that airline halos cause, but at the same time, I love that it really makes the center stone shine. It isn’t that I don’t think they can’t be pretty and its not that I think they have to be well done to look good because I’m not sure what a “well done” airline halo looks like. For me, personally, I would go crazy from the gap – but that is just me. Nothing against the style themselves, and it doesn’t mean I don’t think they are pretty. Your ring is very pretty btw!

I tend to prefer halos that don’t have an airline. Mine doesn’t have one. However, there is one bee that has a rose gold halo with an airline that I think is stunning.

I think it depends on the airline in question (also didn’t realize they were called that).  In some cases, I think they make the center stone look like it is too small or maybe not meant for that setting.  Yours does not look that way to me!

Personally, I’m not a fan of the airline…I like seeing the contrast of the sparkle between the smooth center diamond and the small side diamonds right next to each other as pretty sparkley accents at the very edge of the main stone.

I’m also not a fan of airlines. My first e-ring had one, and I felt like it distracted from the prettiness/shininess of the ring. It left a dark shadow that I wasn’t fond of. I think your ring is really pretty, but if it bothers you perhaps you could have a bezel added around the center stone?

Mine’s like that, I’ve seen a lot of them. I didn’t originally want a halo, but I saw mine and loved it

serendipity24:  My ring is identical to yours so I’m biased. I love them. I did not want a regular halo. I wanted my stone to sit up a bit so it could really be the “star.” If you like it I think that’s all that matters. Why do you need it to be popular or for other people to like it?
