You can ask for hand cancelling in Canada.
Yoou can also have custom stamps made- called Picture Postage on Canada Post's website-of you and your fiance , or any other image you like- to use on your invitations.
The girl at the post office told us to ask for a philatelic (sp?) wrapper when we come back with the stamped invites. You can't cancel them yourselves, but they'll wrap them in this yellow wrapper and when they go to the processing plant they should be kept aside and hand cancelled by a Canada Post worker.
You must log in to post.

So I keep reading about hand cancelling in the States, but I never see anything about it in Canada.
Does Canada Post allow hand cancelling, or do they need to be cancelled at all? My envelopes are likely going to be 4.5 inches by 8.5 inches and I'll only be mailing about 5 of them. Should I just mail them in a larger standard envelope or am I going to need to hand cancel them?
I'm totally confused on this one. Thanks Bees!
