Is it ok to hand-deliver some invites, especially to those who are neighbors and coworkers/family I see regularly? Is this an etiquette no-no? Would it be best to just mail them all?

I personally would post everything, not even due to etiquette.  SIL lives upstairs from us and we still sent hers through the mail.  Everyone likes receiving mail too :)

I'd just mail them, with the exception of co-workers, unless you have their home addresses.

If my family were close by, I'd just hand them the invites because we are practical - we save postage, and we actually like the cards hand delivered - it seems more personal.  But I know for FI's famliy, they mail bday cards, x'mas etc. to each other even though they see each other so often.  When I mentioned that I'd hand deliver cards to family, my FMIL made a face and said "NO, No!  You don't do THAT!!"  So, I guess it would bother some people, but I personally don't see anything wrong with it.  We are going to mail all of ours, though, just to make it easier and I no longer live close to my family.

I voted to post them all.  Like naangel said, everyone likes getting mail.  And even though your reaons for wanting to hand-deliver some are practical, others might get their feelings hurt.  I know it sounds silly, but ever since I got engaged I've been amazing at the things guests get upset over concerning weddings.

We mailed them all except for my roommate.  I left hers in her mail pile, and she left her RSVP in my mail pile LOL

I would have hand-delivered to family if they lived nearby and I saw them regularly.

I guess I'll hand deliver the ones to coworkers and close family.

What do you all think of actually ringing a person's doorbell to hand them the invite versus just dropping it in their mailbox?

I love to get mail that's not junk or bills so I say mail them all!
