Sweet Mandy Bees for sure!!! They have amazing desserts! seriously! And their hand panted cakes are gorgeous. Best taste in chicago that I know of. I work near there....its dangerous :D If I would have got married here that is def where I would have gotten my cake! They seriously sell little things of icing because their icing is so amazing... Good luck!
I second what daniellealys said - Sweet Mandy B's has phenomenal cakes and other desserts! I used to live half a block away from there and any time my roommate's had a bad day, I'd get them a cupcake from there :)
@Mrs. Fireworks: what a nice gesture for your roommates! that is so sweet :D Its funny because at work if a coworker does something nice for another one that person usually gets them a cupcake or their favorite dessert at SMB as a thank you! :D

I absolutely love the look of hand painted wedding cakes, but I'm having a really hard time finding anyone who does this in the Chicagoland area. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
