Personally, likely not. Hand painted stuff is just not my style.

I would, but I’m a lush, lol. Drinkers probably will, but people who aren’t avid drinkers, probably won’t. So, I guess it depends on your guests, and how well you know them, if they imbibe or not.

ETA: Or, like ^Bakerella^, if handpainted things aren’t their style, lol. Didn’t think about that. I guess because I like handpainted things. To each their own.

I would, because I’m ridiculously sentimental, and would remember you and your wedding every time I used it.

You really should add a poll.

Honestly I would take it home but give it away then. I always take favors b/c I feel bad that people spent money on them. Maybe if I had a set I’d keep it, but not just one glass.

I do not drink that often and I love cute wine glasses and hand painted items. I was actually in a store this past weekend & saw some that I wanted to buy. For what? I dont know, decoration maybe? Haha IMO they’re cute.

I agree with @bakerella: they’re just not my style. And I also think they’d be a lot more useful in a set.

Honestly, I probably wouldn’t take it.  Painted items aren’t really my thing, and I like to have full sets of matching glassware.  I am impressed that you are willing to do so much hard work for the favors!  Good luck!

Ditto those who are saying they like to have full matching sets of glassware/mugs. I would leave it behind. I also live in an apartment in NYC–so maybe if I had more space I’d be more inclined to take it…but eventually, I know I’d end up throwing it out.

i totally would! even though it isnt a set – my mom collects neat wine glasses like that, so she would personally love it.

i think personallizing them, though alot of work, would be neat as well. you could use them as place cards.

I do have to say though, i did champagne flutes filled with hershey kisses and i was left with probably 3 boxes of them that people either neglected or forgot to take – so thats something to think about. not a huge waste, i bought them at the dollar store and other people were glad to take them off my hands. i was excited to see we were all drinking out of our champagne flutes at Easter dinner at my in laws.

eh, if I didn’t live locally I would not take it, breakage potential is too high and I would not want glass shards in my suitcase. I must admit, I’m not one who cares so much about matching glasses so I would be happy to think of your wedding when drinking from it if I were living in the same city as the wedding.
