I found this post by Miss Fondue a few months back. I am going to us this method on my coasters in another few months. What about using Modge Podge?
Would that seal it? I've never used it before but have heard people talk about it. I think Miss Crab Cake has done some stuff with it.
If you stamp them you could also emboss them which kinda sets the image. I like the idea of Mod Podge too, I have done this project http://www.stylemepretty.com/2009/03/30/diy-coasters/ which are more serious coasters but you can take the idea of spraying it with a sealer, I got like a spray paint clear sealer from home depot that did the trick, if your using chip board I would recommend spraying both sides just in case. Where are you going to buy the chip board if I may ask?
Thanks, ladies!
As for the chipboard coasters, you can find blank ones all over the internet. For example:

Does anyone know of a good tutorial out there on how to hand-stamp chipboard coasters?
My main concerns are...
* What's the best ink to use? * How do you "set" your image, so it doesn't smear when a drink is set on it? * Are there any tricks or advice I should keep in mind, when stamping on them?
These would be great for shower or wedding favors, or on the reception bar or guest tables. However....I am such a perfectionist! So I'm looking for tips and (ideally) an online tutorial.
