I am a bride on a budget! I’m sure a lot of us are these days! Is it appropriate for me to handwrite the addresses for the invitations or do I need to hire a calligrapher? I don’t want to print them on the envelope, but I don’t have a problem with handwriting them. Is that alright?

Almost everyone I know wrote addresses by hand. I think it’s totally fine!

Handwriting is the proper thing to do. Calligraphy is just above and beyond, so no worries!

I think handwriting makes it more personal anyways =) that’s what I will be doing!
I probably should start soon, eep! hahaha

Also, if you get a nice pen it doesn’t really matter if you know calligraphy or not. Even having a “calligraphy marker” with a fine tip, and holding the flat tip at a 45 degree angle (how you hold a callig pen) and writing in your hand writing will make them look a bit jazzier.
Either way, hand written is always more personal than labels.
