Ok, so maybe its not completely fair to blame my FI totally, but its so hard! He always wants to go out to eat, even when I have stuff here to make and I always give in.
The last couple of days I have been eating like a lil porker and tomorrow we have a BBQ planned with some friends. At this rate, Ill never fit in my dress lol. During the week I eat like a dieting saint, but the weekends are my krytonite! Any pointers or suggestions bees?

When I used to live with my husband’s family…wow, I got the heaviest I’d ever been! I dropped like 15 pounds after moving out!

Eat whatever you want but in smaller portions than usual–that way you’re not totally depriving yourself (which can lead to cravings and binges later) but you’re not pigging out, either.

Haha, yeah. Thats the other thing. My mom cooks so much yummy stuff, we just avoid their house during the week. Otherwise, geez, I dont even want to think about it lol

amen, sista! FI eats like a horse.. and so do I, but I gain the weight! lol! darnit!

Yep. I think that’s why I gained weight when I started dating J. His family’s cooking is a lot different than my family’s. Now we’re all on WW together, but they’re having an easier time losing weight. 🙁

I try to eat well at home (the meals I can control!) and then if I overeat when I’m out, I’m not doing as much damage!
Also if you can and want to, limit the amount of alcohol and soda you drink when out so then you can enjoy the food without as much guilt!
It’s definitely tough tho!

My fiance is the same way! We have tried spending more of our dates eating in and cooking meals together. We still get that quality time in but can control our waistlines. 🙂
If you go out, which I’m sure you still will because no one wants to eat in ALL THE TIME, just make sure to go to places where you can order healthy options!

My guy eats all he wants (and he can eat!) and remains slim. I don’t get it. His sisters and mom are all a little chubby, but his dad is also lean.

I had this same problem when I first starting dating DH. Come up with a meal plan and stick to it, regardless of where you eat. Salads, no alcohol, no dessert, etc. I wish I had magic words, but it’s all about portion control, self control and exercise.

I gained 30 lbs in our first 3 years of our relationship. Yes. Literally 10 lbs a year. SICK. I lost about 15 for the wedding (in a healthy way!) then after the wedding? Everything has totally gone downhill. La.ZY. My suggestion is to just get used to having to be aware of your health, I’m sure it’ll be just fine and you’ll look gorgeous! 🙂

Oh my gosh. I feel the exact same way. FI is always hungry, and he always wants to eat out. Of course, he doesn’t gain weight. Wah.
