I’m hoping to have tons of string lights hanging over my reception but we will hopefully not need a tent and I’m tentative about having the reception under trees because well, this is Texas and there are a lot of big bugs and spiders that live in the trees and come out at night…
But I’d love for it to look a bit like this:
So my question is, how should I hang the lights? I assume some poles or rods shoved into the ground would work but I have no idea where to look for those, or if I should just build them myself?? So any help/guidance you could give would be awesome!

I’m trying to figure out how to do this also!

I had those at mine, but we rented them from a tent/party rental company. I think it was $150 to rent the lights but it included the set up and take down. We had rented a tent in case it rained, but since we didn’t need it, they put metal poles with hooks on them into the ground and strung the lights from there.
I’m not sure what you would do about the bugs – depending on the time of year, you may not need to worry about them. Our reception was at a beach house, so there was a nice breeze that kept bugs away. Everytime I’ve been to Hill Country, it always had a breeze at night, so you might end up with the same thing 🙂

Thanks, I’ll look into the rental company.
