Okay, I’m not really dying. But I feel so poopy. My DH birthday was yesterday and I had too many drinks! The room was spinning by time we drove home.
I’m at work right now, and it’s been a struggle to say the least lol. But I’ve been doing okay, except that I cannot seem to help keep myself hydrated. I have been trying to drink water, and I nearly vomit about ten minutes after I drink. I’ve been drinking in small amounts, it’s just not working. I haven’t eaten anything, because I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t stay down, either. Smelling my co-workers’ lunches makes me want to throw up! The only thing that sounds good is McDonald’s chicken mcnuggets. I’ve heard greasy food is good to help cure hangovers. Should I eat McDonald’s after work?
I could really use some advice to get this hangover gone!

Trust me. Eat a cheeseburger. McDonald’s is fine.

Whenever my FI is hung over we go get taco bell. I personally go for McDonalds chicken nuggets even when I’m sick and dont have much of an appetite. I would say try eating sum nuggets and fries. Try drinking giner ale or sprite too.

Eat! It all gets better once you eat!

@inky_1: Do you think it’s s good idea to eat even if I’m gagging after drinking water?

Omg bacon cheeseburger, fries and a real coke is the best hangover cure!

@LittlePumpkin: greasy food helps me but usually only while I’m still drunk or when I wake up. Try drinking water with lemon or mint herbal tea.

Greasy fast food. Excedrine. Gatorade. Sleep.

honestly its hard to do but it works and clears up any hangovers, take a shot or drink a beer, for some reason it counteracts. but i know the last thing you want is another drink. but dont have coffee, caffiene makes it worse and makes you more nauseous.

I’ve always been told (by my doctor) that when you’re vomiting water is not a good thing to drink because it “likes to come back up”…not sure why. But I always drink orange Gatorade or some kind of sports drink. It helps rehydrate you.
I think a cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, or taco bell are all good classic hangover foods. They do seem to help.

Aww, hangovers are never fun! In my experience, whatever I’m craving I just go with it. If your having trouble getting water down, try something like Sprite for a little while and once you don’t feel like throwing up, switch back to water. That’s actually something my doctor recommended and it always works for me when I’m sick to my stomach.
Next time the room starts spinning, eat something, take some pain reliever, chug a bottle of water and get your butt in bed haha. Hope you feel better!

I drink pediasure or pedialite. Boom. Hangover=cured. (I dont’ eat fast food anymore. Those used to be my go-tos, so I had to find something else!)

Greasy food does help, but I wouldn’t touch McDonalds with a 10 ft. pole. My go-to is a caesar, an espresso, and either poutine or a greasy breakfast.

@LittlePumpkin: if you’re at work and already queasy, I wouldn’t try it!! just stay hungry till you get home and stomach something then…or just go straight to bed!
