I can completely reflect what you are describing about family coming together for your special day. My parents are divorced and my mom is remarried, so I have 3 sides to my family. They have all been putting their differences aside to make our day truly special. So happy that your happy!
I feel the same way, I have been a part of hubs family for years before we actually got married, and they really are an extension of my own family. It is crazy how well we all get along. I have lived with hubs and his dad for almost 4 years, so he really is like a second dad to me. I love that we are all so close, I probably talk to my SIL more than my husband 
Me and Fi were just talking about how we absolutely cannot live without each other and this whole wedding process has taught us so much and brought out the best and worse in the people in our lives. We are both blessed and cant wait to be husband and wife!

I realize the "emotional" board is full of distressing posts, so I wanted to take a minute and share something uplifting.
I am SO HAPPY to be getting married to a wonderful man, whom I love with my whole heart. I'm stressed about the wedding planning, no doubt, but I am thrilled about the support I've gotten from both my fiance and his family. I LOVE that I am gaining a whole new family in addition to the nice one I already have. Neither of our families are perfect (ha!) but I'm impressed by the way everyone has really come together to support us. Do we disagree on stuff? Heck yes. Is it stressful at times? For sure. But do I feel loved? Absolutely.
I couldn't ask for more.
