FI and I had Tues, Wed, and Thurs off. Today we are having pancakes for breakfast, heading down to the local festivities for lunch, eating some supper at home and the heading out to watch the fireworks. Yep, gonna be a good day!
HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!
FI was on nights last night, so he is still sleeping... but I already went for a run, just about to do my 30 day shred, cleaned the house and started the mexican turkey burger patties for the BBQ tonight! We are having friends over, as usual, as our raised back deck gives a perfect view of our local fireworks (which happen at the park down the street form our house!) so we all hang out on the deck and watch the fireworks tonight!! Unfortunately FI has to work again tonight... but he will get to have dinner before he goes! I'm off today and tomorrow :), he only gets tomorrow off!!
Yay! I have to work b/c I live in the US but I wish I could be in Calgary for Canada Day and Stampede like we used to do when I was little! Maybe we will make something "canadian" for dinner to celebrate :)

It's a somber day here in BC. The weather is crap, the HST came into effect & so has the new carbon tax. Woo. Hoo. And this is my last Canada Day in Canada for many years to come. Sad face.

Fiance and I have had a lazy day so far. I am going to go for a run in a few minutes and this afternoon we are having some friends over for a BBQ!
