I feel almost bad writing this since I know a lot of you are hunting for good jobs, but I have some good news! And maybe give some of you a little hope that it may take awhile, but eventually good things come...

DH got an offer yesterday from my company!!! And no, I didn't get it for him! For those of you who don't know, he got out of  the Army about a year ago, was unemployed for about 5 months (no unemployment, either! The Army is not so good at the soldier-civilian transition unfortunately) and has been working at Target for barely $12 an hour since....and hating his life essentially. He wasn't even this depressed when he was deployed! He has an engineering degree and the Target job was a huge step down and back for him, and his sense of pride has really take a hit (which is a main reason he served in the Army anyways). Now he'll be working in the aerospace and defense industry and he's thrilled 

And, finally, we can get on with our lives.

@cincity75, I don't know, he didn't get squat though. Maybe because he was a Captain or because he transitioned to the Reserves.
