@ajillity81:  I actually became addicted to Latkes (with sour cream) about 10 years ago and ate them everyday for lunch for about a year. I gained 30 lbs that year…true story..I did lose it thankfully..it was worth it!

Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah coinciding only happens once every 70,000 and some years!! That meal sounds delicious! I love latkes.

Yay, we’re super excited! I’m making kugel tomorrow night and I got a gorgeous menorah from William Sonoma with some delicious smelling beeswax candles, can’t wait for the hubby to light it. Might have to pop into our local emory deli for some latkes, I want to make them from scratch but I might get lazy. 🙂

My MOH is leaving halfway through the day Thursday (leaving her family celebrations of both Hannukah AND Thanksgiving!) to come down from NYC to DC to go wedding dress shopping with me on Friday.  I’m not Jewish but she’s apparently bringing her menorah and I get to somewhat celebrate with her haha.  She’s amazing 🙂

We’re having two meals– one Wed. for the beginning off Hanukkah and then Thurs. obviously for Thanksgiving, but we’re mixing cuisine because there are just way too many good ideas for Thanksgivvikuh recipes out there. Sweet potato latkes, challah stuffing, pecan ruggelah, manoshevitz braised turkey (not sure about that one…)

@ValerieBee03:  Technically it starts at Sundown on Wednesday, which is probably why you don’t have the day off lol.
