I recently picked up my dress, and love it so much! It is exactly what I was looking for (vintage feel, romantic, lace) and more. I think it also flatters my figure as much as is possible. But I’m still unhappy with how my body looks. I gained back the 20 pounds I lost after months of hard work, and am feeling really discouraged. So now instead of seeing all of the beautiful details I loved about the dress, all I can see are my flaws. Has this ever happened to anyone else? How did you deal with it? And do you think the dress looks okay on me, even with the extra weight back on?

The dress doesn’t look okay.. it looks amazing on you! Seriously!

I think the dress looks beautiful on you! It definitely flatters your figure (which by the way I think is great-just the right amount of womanly curves!)
As for feeling insecure that is just human nature..even the most beautiful girl in the world will look in the mirror and see “flaws” don’t get hung up on things you want to change because you look great the way you are!

You/ the dress look fantastic! It fits you perfectly right now. Looking at the corset back, I think if you re-lost the 20 pounds, you would have to have the dress altered because it would be to big.
Dont worry about it, enjoy your fabulous dress!

Oh my God, that dress looks BEAUTIFUL on you!
Like PP said, it is himan nature to see our own flaws, but honestly, I don’t see any on you in that dress! It is amazing!

Thank you guys so, so much for your kind words! I’m actually sitting here with tears in my eyes. It’s hard to feel sensitive/insecure about the way you look, so it’s pretty amazing to have people tell you nice things. You guys just made my day!

HOLY HAWTNESS…no joking that dress and you are PERFECT!
I totally know where you are- I’m not sitting at my “ideal” weight either and with only 4 weeks to go until my fitting I’m a bit of a mess myself but i should tell you now you have nothing to worry about- love your style

It’s still flattering on your shape as-is, but you have several months to drop a few pounds if you can get back into a workout routine/ eating right.

WOW! It looks great on you. You shouldn’t worry.

The dress looks fantastic on you! I totally understand your frustration (and have been having similar doubts), but try to focus on how amazing you look now! You are always your own worst critic, and its hard to see all of the good stuff through the frustration.

The dress looks fab on you! IMO, though, the dress may actually be a little big. The sample I bought fit like yours does before alterations, and my seamstress said it was too big and took each side in an inch. She insisted that the dress would creep downward if I didn’t have it taken in.
