Ladies, I could use some help. Our wedding is next May, and I’d like to lose 15 pounds before then. Mo goal is to lose this weight by end of December, and my logic being that after the new year I’ll probably be so busy and anxious about everything else that knowing I have to lose weight on top of it all will just stress me out too much.
I’m technically overweight (by 15 lbs) and I would like to feel and look my best on my big day. I’m pretty sure I’m average sized, but I’d really like to get in shape. I’m having a hard time sticking to a plan of eating healthy and exercising. Anyone else gone through or going through something similar? Any advice you can give me, or words of encouragement? haha.

I feel the same way. I have about a year, but I really want to tone. I just can’t get up and out to the gym. 🙁

Do you have a friend or relative that will work out with you? I do the 30 day shred but my SIL does too so we force each other to do it, because they are too many times where one of us says “eh I dont feel like it today” Or maybe you have a coworker that wants to eat better too and you can keep each other on track. You already have a great support system built in on wedding bee 🙂

I recently moved to Texas from S. Florida, and aside from my FI I don’t have any good friends that I could workout with. I am working from home temporarily, I do medical billing and it requires me to sit in front of a computer for hours. I graduated last year with a degree in Spec. Ed. but have not found a job for this school year :(. Bu that’s a different story.
This 30 day shred, I’ve seen others talk about it on here but have never heard of it. Where can I get info on this?! You’re right about the support on here, it’s GREAT. 🙂

Count your calories!! It seems so easy, but when you write down every single thing you eat in a little notebook, you’ll start to notice little ways that you can make big changes in your caloric intake. Find out what your Resting Metabolic Rate is and make sure you’re eating enough too.

Oh my goodness! You sound exactly like me!! I’m not getting married until October of next year, but want to lose weight now so I’m not trying to do it right before the wedding. I was doing pretty well, but fell of the “wagon” a few weeks ago and can’t seem to get back on. I have about 25 lbs I’d like to lose (but could be happy losing 15). I also want to have it done by December – I’m planning on dress shopping in January and want to be at my goal by then. Feel free to PM me and maybe we can motivate eachother!!

Oh how I miss motivation. I lost 30 pounds and have since gained about 15 back. I want to lose that plus about 30 MORE pounds before I get engaged, but I just can’t seem to get motivated!

The hardest thing to do is to start. Don’t go at it like…oh tomorrow I will definitely start working out. Start, right now. No excuses!
Start out slow though, you don’t want to end up sore, and never wanting to go back to the gym.
15 minutes on the elliptical today…thne just keep going up in increments from there!

No More Trouble Zones from Jillian Michaels kicks some serious butt, it got me toned FAST, like in 3 weeks! Maybe fast results will motivate you to keep going? I know that’s what happened for me!
