I think it's a great idea! I'm sure there will be people who want to buy you normal home things so you might want to have a traditional registry as well. Giving people a lot of options is great though.

Did anyone register at a hardware store? We just bought a house and there are a LOT of things we could use...
I wanted to do so at Home Depot, but their registry system is super antiquated and not functional. I'm thinking about ACE Hardware... which has a fantastic kitchen section (KitchenAid Mixers in every color of the rainbow) in addition to stuff like porch swings, show shovels, etc.
Good idea or bad?
