Ever since I was a little girl, the only thing I have ever wanted at my wedding was a harpist. The sound of one is so beautiful. I am planning on it playing for as long as possible, but probably not during the wedding. I want it to be playing before guest arrive and until they are all seated as well as during the seating of the family, enterance of bridesmaids, as well as when I enter.

I am also having singing during the wedding and so i think that’s why we opted the harp out, but that could all change. I think it sounds like a good idea.

Just don’t forget it’s your big day so you do what makes you the happiest!

I think it might be nice to have the harp play “softly” (I don’t know if this is possible) during the reading and then segue into a solo for the lighting of the unity candle.

I just booked a harpist for my ceremony! I am so excited!!! She (softly) plays during the vows as well as before guests arrive, bridesmaids, me ect… I picked all non traditional songs and she was thrilled! yesss!
