Hi Bees. I hope you can help me get excited about a harp solo during our ceremony. The harpist is amazing and will play three different pieces during the processional – one for mothers/grandmothers, one for bridesmaids and one for me. My mom would really like to have a solo during the wedding. (Just for some background, my mom cried after three notes when the harpist played for us this spring. She looooooves music.)
Could you please help me figure out how and where in the ceremony to incorporate the solo? Are you having a musical solo during your ceremony?
Our ceremony program will go in this order:
Remberance of Loved Ones
Charge to the Couples
Prouncement & Kiss

Ever since I was a little girl, the only thing I have ever wanted at my wedding was a harpist. The sound of one is so beautiful. I am planning on it playing for as long as possible, but probably not during the wedding. I want it to be playing before guest arrive and until they are all seated as well as during the seating of the family, enterance of bridesmaids, as well as when I enter.
I am also having singing during the wedding and so i think that’s why we opted the harp out, but that could all change. I think it sounds like a good idea.
Just don’t forget it’s your big day so you do what makes you the happiest!

I think it might be nice to have the harp play “softly” (I don’t know if this is possible) during the reading and then segue into a solo for the lighting of the unity candle.
