I'm actually going on the 14th at midnight! I'm so excited! There's a local chain of theaters in Austin called the Alamo Drafthouse. They serve food with movies, and they often have really awesome theme nights. They always serve butterbeer when there's a new Harry Potter movie playing. I'm not sure what's in it, but it's definitely alcoholic. I can't wait!
We'll be on our honeymoon in Vegas, but I think we are such dorks that we will find a movie theater on the 15th to go see the movie! We have both waited to see the movie forever and figure it will be a good reason to get some fresh air
I did my happy Harry Potter dance just now!! Eeeeeeeek I can't wait!
Okay, I'm even more excited because I'm heading to my FI's in the US for a month & we'll get to watch it together! hehe
*Joins in on the Harry Potter dance*
I'm really excited for it also haha. I'm actually going to see it with a carload of people. I am taking my Grandmother, little brother and sister, and my two little cousins to see it so it will be a family affair.
Plus they are all begging to have a Harry Potter movie marathon in the days before the new one comes out, so I guess I am going to be getting a sleepover party in order soon.
You know, I have read all the books but I haven't seen any of the movies. I need to start renting them to catch up!
Oh my goodness I'm so stoked for Harry Potter too. It comes out on the day my hubby leaves for his next 6 month deployment, so I'll prob head to the theatre to escape into Harry Potter world after I drop off the hubby so I don't have to think about his being gone for a few hours :p
We will be there!!!!
My son and I have read together ALL THE BOOKS and I cried in one certain chapter (and gasped along with my son) when reading this book.
I'll probably cry at the movie too. WE love Harry P!
My son was so little when we saw the first one. He just knew he had been listening in his little car seat when I was driving to and fro from Memphis to ATL listening to Harry Potter 1! gosh has it been THIS long?
We went to the midnight release of the last book..it was wild! Somewhere I have pics of it in ATL with all the hundreds of people in line, all dressed up. We even saw Jim Dale (the narrator of all the HP books on cd and tony award winner) at our local Barnes and Noble where he read excercepts from Half Blood Prince a few years ago!
I'm so excited to see that movie! FI won't read/watch HP to save the world so I have to find someone else to go with....but I can't wait to see it!!!!!
I'm just introducing Mr. CC to Harry Potter, so we have a lot of catching up to do if we're going to get to see this one in the theater! Maybe we'll make it!
We're planning on going to the midnight release. I'm so excited!
I CAN'T WAAAIIIIITTT!!!!!!!! I love everything Harry Potter!!! I've seen almost all the movies at the midnight showings (although I never think the movies can compare to the books). I was home for the summer from college when the seventh book was released, and my younger siblings and I are all so fanatical that we went to the midnight release together and bought three copies so we wouldn't have to share!
I CAN'T WAIT! My FI is not a HP fan but he loved what he saw on the previews so I am hoping that I can convince him to see it with me. He doesn't want to go because he said he needs to catch up with the other movies.
The 16th is the start of my three day Indian wedding extraganza but you can bet I am already plotting ways to sneak away to go watch Harry Potter! I may have to just drag my entire family along under the pretence of "bonding" time!
I have it marked on my work calendar, my home calendar, my phone calendar... FI and I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT! We saw another trailer for it this morning while watching Today, and he got all excited. I told him we should get our marriage license and go see HP on the same day, and he looked at me with big eyes (just like a little kid) and said "We can DO that??" Super cute. :)
I CAN'T WAIT! FI will be out of town for business so I'll probably hit up a matinee on the 15th or 16th on my own.
Roddy -- I rented the last few movies from the library (free!) so FI could get caught up!
EEEEKKKKKKKK!!!!! That's basically the sound I make everytime someone mentions Harry Potter. FI said when I saw the preview at the theater a few weeks ago I stopped breathing, which may be true, I'm not really sure. I'm super excited and I'm dragging FI to the midnight showing. YAY Harry Potter fans!
Yay! We are definitely going on opening day--and I am totally dressing up. FI...well, probably won't dress up, but he's pretty excited about it too!

Mr. Bruschetta and I are super psyched for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on July 15. We're going to come home from work and take naps, so we can attend the midnight showing -- and be (somewhat) well-rested for work the next day as well.
Any other Potter fanatics planning to watch the movie on the 15th?
