Dear CT Brides! My fiance and I are seriously considering the G fox ballroom in downtown Hartford for our reception. My only hestation that this point is foot traffic through the building. The event coordinator told us it was very limited and I’m fine with a few people trickling through. I just don’t want alot of people looking in at my guests or being a distraction. Particularly because there is a night club in the building! We are considering a Friday evening wedding and with the big windows in the ballroom facing the walkway I don’t want to feel like we are in a fishbowl with party goers parading by outside.
<br />Any feedback from brides or guests of this venue would be greatly appreciated!

I worked across from that building and during the spring thru fall, I’d always end up walking through the back of a ceremony there. It was awkward for me as much as the guests but that would be my only concern, so if your ceremony is at a church, you don’t have anything to worry about.
I honestly think people will just be arriving at the club when your wedding is ending. It won’t be as chaotic or distracting as you might think.

In case anyone else is reading this thread I wanted to follow up on it myself.
There was an article this weekend in the Hartford Courant about a night club opening DIRECTLY across from the G Fox Ballroom. In the same building, fully visable from the ballroom. This was a major concern for us and we’ve decided to go in a different direction.
We went to look at the Bushnell theater this past weekend and we loved it! We will most likely be planning our wedding there.
