So I’m a member of ideeli and gilt, but never actually bought anything until this week — I saw a really nice dress by JS Collection that I saw myself wearing for the rehearsal dinner, and it was on sale for $79 on ideeli!!! So I ordered that…and a pearl necklace..and a bunch of lingerie sets. I also ordered a necklace and earrings for my MOH. THen today I read their horrible reviews on sitejabber.com and was really taken aback at how bad they are. I went ahead and cancelled the necklace and earrings but couldn’t cancel the other two orders I’ve placed. I just hope that they don’t send me wrong sizes for those two orders, as it seems like returns are almost impossible.
Have you purchased anything from ideeli and had a good/bad experience? I see that most of the complaints were about them shipping the items like a month (or sometimes even longer than a month) after the order’s been placed. I’m in no rush to get the stuff I ordered, but I also read that they send wrong sizes/colors and when people try to return the items, it’s already past the 14day window and therefore not eligble for a return. I do really like the necklace/earrings and kinda bummed I felt like I had to cancel it…. Any stories??

I haven’t purchased anything from them. But I had a friend who did and got everything in less than a week.

Really??? Wow, that’s pretty impressive compared to all the bad reviews I read… Thanks, MissAsB! Now I’m’ wondering if I should re-order the necklace & earrings….hahaha

I’ve bought from Ideeli a couple times. They are sort of quick, just depends on the item. One time I waited for an amazing leather jacket that eventually got cancelled because they “sold” too many than the supplier actually had…and it took me months to hear about it!! I had to call about it because they had already charged my card! But they gave me a full refund and a credit.
But another time, I got a JS dress within a couple weeks.

I purchase from Gilt, Hautelook, Ideeli, and RueLaLa (yes, its a problem) – – every single item these sites post, carefully read their purchasing guidelines, thats all!
Off of Ideeli – I purchased a wallet that I received quickly and then I purchased a pair of jeans that took almost a month. I wasn’t upset because I saw the note prior to submitting my order.
I am in wholesale retail and our product has been featured on Gilt twice. This is a friendly fyi…These dot com’s don’t always ship the products – sometimes their vendors do. Therefore product ships from all different locations – their arrival time is going to be different.

I bought a few things from Ideeli, including 2 max & cleo dresses and my Badgley Mishka wedding shoes (same ones Ms. Pudding has!) and I’ve never had a problem. I bought 2 pairs of Badgley Mischkas because i wasn’t sure what size to get, and I was able to return the other pair with no problems.

I just randomly got a package from them this week – I’m not a member and I didn’t order it. So far their customer service has been good in helping to sort this out. I had never even heard of them before these random earrings showed up yesterday!

i, like @jackie-o am a frequent buyer on Gilt, Hautelook, Ideeli, and RueLaLa and have always been impressed with their customer service & products. only once did i send something back because it was the incorrect size, and even then i had wonderful service service and replaced the incorrect item quickly. i will reiderate what @jackie-o said and that is to be sure to read their shipping details/return policies. some sites will refund your $$ while other’s (like RueLaLa) will give you store credit for returns.
i just bought a beautiful diamond Skagen watch on RueLaLa last week and i should get it by next thursday! gotta love beautiful things for bargain prices 🙂 happy shopping!

I’ve been shopping on Ideeli for over 6 months. At first I was in love, but over time I’ve been getting annoyed with them, and now with my last ordeal I’m calling it quits. First complaint, things take FOREVER to get- typically 2-4 weeks, sometimes as long as 6 weeks. Talk about delayed gratification. I’ve also had orders canceled unexpectedly because they ran out of the items. My latest ordeal is with a missing order. I, not Ideeli, had to contacting UPS, who claimed the package was left in front of my apt. door, but I never received it. Yes, the packages are left unsigned for, so if someone steals it, which is what I’m assuming happened to my package then you, the customer, are screwed. Although I’m annoyed (total package value was $50), I keep thinking what if the package was of higher value. I’ve ordered some designer items worth over $500 on this site. Good riddance Ideeli.

@fresh_air: your package being stolen isn’t their fault. they shipped and tracked it for you and it showed being delivered. if some a-hole rips it from your doorstep that’s not on them – especially since it’s an apartment. they send it where you tell them to. a suggestion would be to always make a note or call and ask them to leave it with the apartment manager instead of the doorstep if that’s possible, otherwise maybe have them ship it to a friend’s house or your work.
i buy from gilt, ideeli, ruelala, hautelook, etc quite often with ideeli and gilt being my favourites. gilt has great customer service – one time they left off part of my order and even though there’s no real way to prove i didn’t get it they still immediately refunded me. that really shows something, to me. ideeli has been great as well – sometimes i get my order in a week, sometimes in a month but really there’s never been anything i needed in a hurry so it doesn’t matter. their returns are easy too – not as easy as gilt since your return label is automatic with them – but it’s still VERY good. and, i like when i forget i bought something then come home to a package! billiondollarbabes has been the worst for me. i ordered a jacket, waited over a month and never got it, emailed them without a response, called them and they said it was being shipped, then a few days later got an email saying “whoops! we oversold!” umm… okay?? then why didn’t you say that when I CALLED? they refunded and gave me a credit as well but i haven’t seen anything worth buying since so haven’t used it.
