Yes! I bought some candles and table runners from one bee, and asked about a few other things, though they had been sold (and I changed my mind on another).

I sold one thing, and the second thing I cancelled on the buyer because she was super shady (two names, three email addresses, two WB names, and then a completely different name for the recipient).

I’ve only tried to sell, and haven’t had much success.. I got 3 replies and they were all scamners. I don’t think I’d use their classifieds again.

I haven’t used the classifieds because I wasn’t sure how much traffic they get. I sold my wedding arch on Craigslist for $100 though, was pretty happy with the price and timeframe it took to get the dang thing out of my house (about a week).

I’ve tried to buy a few things but only heard back from one seller. I’m now trying to sell a few things and eventually noticed that not all the messages were getting to my (email) inbox. I have to log in to the website itself to see them! I’m wondering if that is why a few of my own inquiries never received replies!

@Asia:  I didn’t realize it was so difficult to get in touch with people. I’ve been lucky I guess. Or perhaps I just screen well? I only look at the first page or two of posts so I stay recent, and I only look at posts with images. If they can’t bother to post a picture, they’re probably not committed. I don’t email people who link me to their “sell my crap” page as they probably have things posted everywhere. If someone has a running tally on the list (posting a lot of things, but is updating when things sell) I contact them if interested as well.

I wish they’d fix the classified section. We have such a great community, if we could have a stronger search feature and perhaps have a separate board to talk about what we’re selling on here, I bet it’d flourish.
