I've fallen in love with the La Sposa Mesina Dress - seen here on this rip off site http://www.peridress.com/shop/catalog/Mariage-Couture-La-Sposa-Bridal-Dress-Mesina-p-10644.html

Sadly because I'm living in New Zealand I've been told I'm looking at over $3,000USD to get it in, which, I guess is understandable, but it is sadly just a pinch out of my budget (*pinch = a lot). I've tried advertising on forums for any second hand dresses but I haven't found anyone selling. My dilemma is that no other dress seems to match up, you know when you see one and you see yourself in it, on that breezy day, your husband next to you, and it just kind of fits? I know it's not about the dress, but man, I would feel so stoked to find one...

So my question is, firstly, does anyone have one lurking in their wardrobe waiting to be loved again (I'll definitely pay a great secondhand price!) or does anyone have any idea of where to get a hold of a similar material so I could have something akin made?

I think that one is also called Medina, whereas the one I'm after is called Mesina...

Thanks for the idea, I hear you guys in the US have some pretty good deals with dressmakers. 

I've had a look around, but most dressmakers here are quoting well over $2,000 to make it, I think it's just because there's not a lot of competition here. Actually I reckon if I found similar material I could have a fashion student make it for a lot less, but it's the finding the material that's the hard part, the border at the base especially, is pretty unique. Hmmm.
