Hi - just wanted to post my experience about the Saks sample sale, which I attended today.

It was great to try on lots of different dresses, although it was not as fun an experience in the cramped dressing room. The discount that they offered made it worth it though, if you could find something you loved.

I did have one major negative experience though - while most of the dresses I tried weren't contenders, there was one Vera Wang that was quite nice and in a style I was looking for. I asked a sales consultant about the price (the tag was missing). After a while, she returned with the pricing information. Although it was an *awesome* deal for a beautiful dress, I wasn't sure if it was the one, and didn't want to be rushed into it. After I told her I'd pass, she actually said "Let me ask you - why are you shopping now? Why did you come to the sample sale? Why did you come if you weren't ready to buy? I know what's going to happen, you're going to pass this dress up, then decide you want it later, and you won't be able to find any dress like it and you'll be disappointed." She basically went on for a while about how I shouldn't be shopping if I wasn't ready to buy, and how I just wasted two hours if I wasn't going to buy (by the way, we were there for an hour - I checked my watch afterward). I was so shocked by basically being lectured about not buying the dress that, unfortunately, this has made me not want to return to Saks again. I know that this was probably just one "bad apple" but I don't believe a customer should ever be treated like that! <pre style="white-space: pre-wrap">The search continues, but unfortunately, I won't be returning to Saks.
