If I did one it'd be either "The Phantom of the Opera" and go to Paris or else "Angels and Demons" and go to Italy and maybe "DaVinci Code" and go all over Europe and hit the sites in either that musical or the books. Btw, the sequal to Phantom (best ever musical) is out in December!
we watched Quantum of Solace after we got back from our honeymoon and realized we went to a lot of places in Italy that have been featured in James Bond and other actions movies on our Italian honeymoon (Venice, Siena)
So it wasn't intentional, but I think it's a neat idea. And your WA trip sounds great!
When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought to myself, woah, what on earth?!
I love your idea! I loved the Twilight series too and I think this is such a cute and original idea! It can also be a funny story to tell at your wedding during some sort of toast. :)
i love twilight too! actually i thought about doing something like that for this month...we would love to visit a bunch of towns with haunted houses, i know of a bunch here in CA that have tours! But maybe we'll do this for our one year anniversary next year.
I've never heard of a themed honeymoon but now that I read what you posted-- it sounds so fun! Way more exciting than the typical carribean cruise or beach getaway (that could be the Florida--I'm always by the beach and it's not that exciting anymore--native in me speaking though! lol)
National Treasure in DC would be really fun. I love DC and the history there is so inspiring.
My SO and I are big food network buffs so it would be neat for us to follow the footsteps of our favorites...go to Paula Deen's restuarant in Savannah, the Neely's BBQ in Mississippi, etc.
what a neat idea. I went to Paris right after I read the DaVinci Code so it was fun going to the sites mentioned in that book.
On a kind of lamer note, I live in LA and I had a friend in town who wanted to go to all the places featured on The Hills. I've never seen that show but she made me a list and we went. It was ho hum for me but she loved it so that's all that matters.
Driving down Hwy 101 would be a great honeymoon! I've driven down the oregon coast a few times and its beautiful. I have heard that there isn't a lot in Forks. So, you might want to look outside of Forks for a B&B, but I think it would be a great honeymoon.
Well if it counts, I went to Atlantis and to the One and Only Ocean Club and it was in the movie "Casino Royale"?
I also went to Savannah last year (super fan of "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" and toured a few places in the book including Mercer House, where the murder and alot of the book took place! Savannah Georgia is a great place for that kind of trip imho!

Hello - My name is Alicia - and I'm a TWILIGHT addict!
I'll admit. I'm fast approaching 30, with children, and am obsessed with underage vampires! PHEW - now that I got that out of my system, I have a question -
Has anyone ever done a themed honeymoon?
I live in Washington and thought it might be cool to go to Forks, LaPush, the Olympic Nat. Forest, and on down the Wa/Or coast. There's something about the rain, small town diners, cozy B&B's, and the ocean that just makes me smile!
I know there's a TON of movies and books you could do this with. I also thought, as my fiance' is a "National Treasure" fan, that we could go to the "other" Washington, DC, and all the historic surrounding areas that this movie took place in.
Any other ideas? Anyone done this before?
