Weddingbee boards

hey fellow bees!

my wedding in going to be in mindtown atlanta and the theme is very old south, traditional, vintage...you get the idea. both our venues are in historical places (peachtree christian church on peachtree st and the georgian terrace hotel on peachtree across from the fox theatre) and we want a favor that goes along with our theme. we came up with the idea of using old fashioned glass coke bottles and on the backside putting a personalized label with our names and wedding date. coke started in atlanta and is very big in the south, so thats where we came up with the idea. o and the coke bottles would be filled, although now that i think it, empty original ones could be cool...

has anyone done this before or something similiar?

ive read on the boards how popular the edible favors are, so how does this compare?? like it or dislike, something different??

o and as a sidenote, if this helps...im talking vintage romance with old south elegance. i just thought the coke bottles would be cute and still tie in to our theme. thanks for helping me out!!

thank yall so much on your feedback, its really nice getting some other brides opinions!! i think we like doing the filled coke bottle idea but we did like the idea as well of putting candy in it (thanks vistagirl)! i think we might actually get both and just look at them in person instaed of just talking about it.
