Has anyone done this for a guestbook?

@Jessicachantal:  I ordered my guestbook from Mixbook.com… Its different than shutterfly in that it gives spaces for signatures within all the pictures. I would definitely recommend them- the book looks nice, we got tons of compliments on it, and was equal quality to shutterfly.

@Jessicachantal:  I made our guest book on shutterfly! It came out really good and I’m super excited to use it!

@Jessicachantal:  I’ve never seen this, but it sounds like a great idea! Maybe you can get a scrapbook from a place like Micheal’s and get those picture corners (like http://www.amazon.com/Martha-Stewart-Embossed-Corners-Stickers/dp/B00BMRZAQO) and put place holder notes within the picture corners? The place holder notes could say something like “wedding picture here” or something like that. That way you could plan ahead of time where you would like the pictures, so that guests know where to sign and where not to.

Good luck and keep us posted on what you decide and how it works out!

My friend just got married on NYE and she did this, it was a guest book for people to sign and write marriage advice….I saw like 2 people write in it, I don’t think people knew they COULD write in it becasue it was such a nice book!  If there was a sign, I didn’t see it!

@Jessicachantal:  I’ve heard of that done when people have photobooths – you attach one of the strips of photos next to your name.

Have you thought about getting a book, putting photo corners in it, then using other photos of you two just for the wedding day (so people know not to write on those spaces, and it will also give guests something to look at) and then you can just print out your wedding photos later and replace the photos you had in there?

@Jessicachantal:  One thing I meant to do (but don’t think I got around to) was having our parents/siblings/bridal party sign the guestbook before the wedding so that it would already be written in it and people would maybe get the idea. You could try that.

btw: I think this wedding day photo book is a really cute idea!

@Jessicachantal:  Yes I have done that for friends in the past. The newlyweds always loved it. We even went so far as to glue the pictures in the very same day of the wedding. (In my area at drugstores you can print of the pics from the sd card of your cameraright away

-> so first we took pictures of all the guests during cocktail hour, did a quick run to the drugstore

-> came back with the printouts

-> glued them in

->had everyone write their best wishes for the newlyweds right next to their picture).
