I’m looking for my second dress with a budget of around ($250) and I want it to be blue, as in royal deep rich blue. I’ve found a dress on jjshouse (I’m willing to go for a cheaper lower quality dress in this case) that I love, but it only comes in shades of white.
Online I found a company that will custom dye dresses for you for around ($99).
I was wondering if other bees have dyed their dress(es) and how it turned out.

The thought crossed my mind to dye my dress too so I could wear it again. I’m interested to see what people say!

@renwoman: It depends on what fabrics are used. They do not all accept dye at the same rate so you can end up with a splotchy mess. This applies to all clothing, not just wedding dresses.

@julies1949: The fabric will accept dye, I’m not willing to do it myself because it’s just more massive than I’m used to working with. I am concerned about the streaky splotchy part though (esp. because there’s a mix of fabtrics, both will accept dye, but perobably not at the same rate). I’d love to see how other’s turned out since I really like the dress, but only if I can get it blue, otherwise I’ll find a second chance.
