Hahahaha I haven't created mine yet but my mom and I were talking the other day about my "future registry" - I told her I would totally cheat and look @ the registry! She yelled @ me but really......TECHINICALLY you don't know WHO bought it for you right? ha
Every night before we go to bed my FI and I peek at it :) Last night he got a tool set and he was so excited he did a dance! We have two registries and the things we REALLY want I put on both to ensure that we get them.. so when we get one it's good to check so I can delete the multiple off of the other registry. Plus, it's fun and you don't know who the gifts are from! I think it's ok :)
haha @ Bella13, that is so funny! i bet you my FI will have a change of heart once he sees he gets his tool set
I have a few times, and each time I feel a little bad about it lol. Last time I looked, I saw that someone had bought two place settings of our fine china. I can't wait to the shower and wedding so I know who to thank for it!
I think it's great fun to look at the registry- I hope FDIL does it... she will get excited to see what all is going on.
We haven't gotten to the point where anyone would be buying anything, since it's still a few months before it's time to send out invitations, but I keep looking at it anyway for a different reason - to monitor when they discontinue items. I knew this would be a factor with registering early, but I've been surprised, still, by just how many things shuffle on and off. We're at major sites, too - Macy's and Amazon. I like to keep on top of it so that if any guests do happen to look at it after being directed there from our website, they aren't looking at a bunch of junk links.
I have had to update things a few times. LIke when I thought I registered for 3 sets of 4 place settings, and later realized that they were individula place settings. now I'm kicking myself for the mistake and registering for dinner ware that was that expensive, but I already have several palce settings and I love it. Normally I'm much more budget-minded.
Anyway, during some updating, I saw a few of the things that had been purchased. But I've been good about not checking just to check. It's very tempting though!
I've been checking almost everyday. :) I get really excited when I see something is "fulfilled".

Ok! My fiance keeps yelling at me because he keeps finding me cheat and look online at what people have been buying us on the registeries. But here is the problem!! I didn't even know this was possible until I went on macys.com to update the registry and saw that something had been 'fulfilled'. Now I am just too curious but have been trying to be secretive about it lol. Has anyone else been a sneak too??
