If I had complete freedom to chose whatever I want, I might have gone for a dress with a lot of big pretty crystals on it, like this which is somewhere between 8-10,000 (aka more than tripple our entire wedding budget)

So I wouldn’t really say I settled for my $200 gown, it’s just I was really limited in what I had to look at to find a dress I love. You will be beautiful on your wedding day no matter what.

Pregnant women look beautiful no matter what! That is almost an advantage 🙂

Other options (not sure if they are all an option for you) are having a dress custom made or moving the date til after the baby (not sure of your views on this, thinking that would be maybe out of the question)

Maybe you could have a vow renewal a few years down the road, and get your dream dress for then

You could get a dress with the cut you like and if you have a good tailor have the details added.  It would probably be cheaper than buying a dress with all the bells and whistles.

I am going through this situation right now! Becuase my bm’s are all over the place and in different states, I decided that David’s was the best place to go since they could go to any one of them for their dresses. So to be nice to them, I chose something I liked from there. Well now I’m kind of regretting it becuase not 100% what I wanted and it’s too late now.

At the end of the day, it’s what really matters to you. Maybe if you added something or altered it a little bit, it would make it feel more special to you. I’m sure you’ll be beautiful no matter what : )

I felt like i had to settle when i bought my dress because i was running out of time to order one! I definitly didn’t get the feeling that it was the one but i felt like it was the best out of the options i tried on.  I would of liked to have time to check out other places.  But, i am very excited about it now!

I’m sure you will look great in your dress! you should post pictures! But if you are really unhappy with it i would continue looking. if you already bought that dress you could always try to sell it if you find something you like better! I feel like that’s a hard situation though! I wish you luck!

I saw a similar problem on “Girl Meets Gown” or maybe it was “Say Yes To The Dress” but either way the woman ended up looking beautiful in her gown and with the ruching you could hardly tell she was even pregnant.  After all the fittings and alterations her dress actually gave her a figure.

I tried on about 40 dresses and nothing made me feel amazing….I then went to a bridal blow out sale and bought a designer dress at an amazing price…..it’s a beautiful gown and because i’m 6Foot and fairly thin, dresses generally fit well so I thought, “oh well, it fits, i’ll get it.”  I immediately regretted it because I never wanted a strapless dress but ended up buying one.

I also bought a veil at a huge discount.

Last week I went back to the salon to look for a crinoline (which was not needed) and left with the most beautiful veil in the WORLD.  It cost a lot more but now I love my dress and my entire look.  All it took was buying that one accessory that made all the difference – how about investing in a beautiful necklace or pair of earrings???
