There's definitely some kind of snark-flu going around or something.
@Lilubird: That might be true, I have been avoiding looking at posts on "Which dress"
or which ring etc, cause obv u cant see them, instead have been drawn to the more emotional and random topic ones, that might be why I am noticing it more.
You mean have I been thread stalked and have personally attacked by trolls named "misshoneybunsucks?"
Why yes, I'd say there's a bad vibe around here. That's not all I'd say.
@simpleandchic: Yeah I noticed and there was a couple of odd posts too, that didn't make any sense.
@MissHoneyBun: People are gonna hate on those they are jealous of. They have a lot to be jealous of when it comes to you girl :) But seriously, I have seen a huge increase in snark and in sensitivity. It's like people are trying to find reasons to come across as self-righteous and mean. Maybe there is just one huge round of PMS going on right now. Midol all around please!
@SoonToBeeMrsD: lol how sweet :)
There really is some kind of lunar cycle pulling everyone into a snark fest, though. AGH make it stop!!!
@MissHoneyBun: It's why I've really been trying to ignore any emotional boards and just stick to my chats, especially since DIY and such is down right now. Sigh, maybe once WB is completely back up, everyone will be nice again? I hope?
@SoonToBeeMrsD: Maybe once we can look at pretty things again. But sadly I don't think that will make a difference for some. womp womp
@MissHoneyBun: Unfortunately some people were just born to be Debbie Downers
Hopefully they won't be out in full force, or maybe once the bees all come buzzing back, their snark will be diluted and we can be happy again. Ah, a girl can dream.
Hi all, I've haven't been around WB as much as I used to this week so I haven't seen all this snark you all are talking about. But just a reminder, just remember to flag any posts that you think are personal attacks or are snarky. That way the mods are on top of things with member who continue to snark.
@MissHoneyBun: :( Im so sorry that happened. PM me if you would like...jeez I step away for barely a week and everything goes to pot! Im sure WB will be back to itself soon though
@MissHoneyBun: Are you for real, I thought things were bad but that takes the cake, any guesses who that troll is lol.
I was never one to believe in the whole "the full moon brings out the crazies" but after working the last few months in a call center, it does seem like we get meaner/crazier people (and a lot more of them) during the full moon or just right before it.
I've noticed it too but I'm trying to attribute it to nerves of the upcoming weddings and everyone trying to stay in a positive mood!
@MissHoneyBun: jeeze, wow i missed that. That is a bunch of BS and someone obviously has no life. We love you!
Honestly, I normally think these kinds of threads stir up more problems than they rectify, but I do want to comment that a particular ridiculous recent thread was flagged by at least myself and two others, yet it is still going. Considering how much previous debate there was on general moderation practices and how we are encouraged to flag and be quiet, it would be nice to see something actually done in these cases. Mods need to start just closing theads -- not deleting them -- but closing them so they go away. No one wins when everyone just keeps arguing. I am not saying we should just pretend the arguing doesn't exist like rainbows and puppies, but there's no need to let it continue. Everyone can go back and see those threads if they want, but it's frustrating to see it back at the top of the thread list over and over, pushing down better threads.
I lost my last post, but I don't think that threads like that help make the board more positive. Most adults don't like being told how to respond to posts.
Geninue question, it your intent here to make everyone reflect on their posting habits?
I love this board and hope you can figure out a way to ignore the posts that bother you and enjoy the good here.
I was noticing this and wondered if the start of wedding season or the "1 year to go" mark for next summer's brides has some of us a little stressed!
@MissHoneyBun: Missed that somehow, but find it totally hilarious! People put alot of energy into arguing on here...
I've noticed alot of people playing "net nanny" & taking it upon themselves to tell other bees how to conduct themselves... or those simply leaving replies on posts that are clearly asking for an arguement/ are snarky or rude. Maybe we're all on the same menstrual cycle?
Since WB went down last week, I've found it reallly hard to read any of the posts because of the snarkiness. I think I've been on WB maybe 10 minutes in the last week.

Has anyone else noticed a bad vibe on the Bee this week?
I have,...... a few snarky posts and some posts that are fine with people making unneccessary snarky comments.
I have been forced to comment myself in the defence of other bees, what's going on? Is it a full moon or am I just reading to much into this?
