again I’m so sorry. the only thing I can say is that i think that with the Lovenox you really should be covered against the clotting risk.

keep your head up and enjoy your beautiful son. you will be a mommy to your second one soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m confused. BC stops you ovulating. The period you have after being on BC is a withdrawl bleed and not a menstral period. But I am sure your RE knows best. I found that for the first month or two of a new BC I’ve noticed no changes. If you’re worried, speak to your RE. I’m not TTC, nor am I a medical person.

Hope everything goes well ๐Ÿ™‚

YES. RE and another ivf specialist i have seen suggest bcp for one month. we’ve been ttc for 17 months – AF finally stopped by so i called the dr. here goes a month of bcp in oct. blah.

did you have surgery or the hsg? im having the hsg done next month while on bcp to open my tubes as well.

i went 11 months without AF. then they put me on provera to induce it, i had two months with AF then 3 without again. =/

i cant remember the last time i was on bcp. it doesnt help either that were going on our honeymoon next week. a honeymoon with bcp. what CRAP.

ive been on metformin since feb and am hating it. praying for better news after hsg, bcp, metformin and the letrozole injections before moving to ivf. i am getting so impatient and angry. its becoming quite ugly. these breakdowns keep coming on ๐Ÿ™

i feel your frustrations dear! xxo

I’m so sorry you’re going through this!  Deep breaths and listen to your doctor – s/he knows what she is doing.  Good luck — I hope this is the answer you guys need!!

@MrsStrawberry24:  i dont know what were doing right now. i suppose these are our stepping stones to IVF, and we will go that far if we need too. its beside me as to why im being put on bcp for one month. i really need to flat out as the dr that. while im on bcp in oct, im scheduled for injection classes to start letrozole medicine and the injections. not sure what the injections are called but i think theyll help me ovulate more regularly. i also need to schedule an hsg test at the beginning of my next cycle to flush out/open my tubes. frustrations because i feel like making me ovulate isnt going to help. my pcos is out of control and i have no idea how a swimmer can get past all those cysts to reach my egg. i seem to have completely skipped clomid overall. i dont know why no ones put me on that yet?

you arent kidding sister, long long road. sucks.

hoping clomid does it for you!!!

I’ve never heard of this before but I am sure this is a common thing amont RE or maybe something new. I know some girls get super fertile after coming off BCB so here’s hoping. Hang in there!

@MrsStrawberry24:  I am so so sorry. I am sure your RE is putting you on BC for the right reason, rather than another AF inducing drug. If you are worried about it and would prefer to be on another drug you have to bring it up to them. Being vocal is a must with a doc or else you have the added stress of not believing in the route you are taking.

I was so hoping for a may/june baby but I am just sitting around here still waiting for O. I wanted to join the september POAS board but just knew it would be pointless. I hope hope hope things work out for you. Thinking of you!

My RE put me on BCP twice to induce a period.  He said that often times a woman ovulates the first month after coming off since your body doesn’t while on it.  So it’s sort of like your body being like “whew I can finally ovulate!”  I was also told that it lowers androgens, which helps with PCOS patients (which doesn’t sound like you fit the bill for that).

Have you ever taken Provera?  Maybe they can prescribe you that rather than BCP given your clotting issues.

Good luck, hon.  I wish you the best!!

(hugs) to you, dear! How frustrating and hard to go through this! ๐Ÿ™ My heart goes out to you.

I know very little about TTC since I’m learning it all right now as my DH and I are trying for our first child. I have also been on BCP for years. Maybe as some encouragement to you, I know many people who go through a fertile period right after stopping BCP. Here’s hoping you’ll get a positive test very soon! Hang in there.
