If I ever did change a stone, it would be to go smaller rather than larger.  I’m a small gal with small fingers though so big rocks look out of place on my hands.  I also work with my hands a LOT and wouldn’t want it getting caught on things, sratching myself, my daughter, or my FI.  When we were looking I kept picking out these rings with no stones and teeny tiny stones.  Now that I’ve had my e-ring for a while, I’m actually starting to feel like it sticks out too far and it’s so small it didn’t even have a CT wt listed lol  It’s the size of the ones you’d see in pavee settings, but it’s set in the center with fancy metal work on the band.  And I feel like it sticks out a bit too far for me.  lol  I like it a lot and don’t plan on changing it, but if I did it would for sure be to find something smaller, not larger.  What I’m wearing is about the largest I could ever see myself being comfortable with.

I’m sure there’s lots of other girls like you though who upgrade to bigger stones and enjoy that type of thing 🙂

haha im also thinking about “downgrading” from my 2 carat diamond to a 1.5 amora. the wedding band i fell in love with is fairly wide & that with my huge stone is just a lot on my hand.

Just make sure its really want you want to do since a lot of bees think they want to and then are sad when they do.

I wouldn’t (and actually can’t due to the setting) switch my diamond out for a different carat weight.

LOL I just did this. I have the 1ct AmOra moissy on layaway but I just changed iit to the 1.25. I amstill having mixed feelings on it and still unsure how it’s going to look but from the pics I’ve seen I think I’ll be happy with a 1.25.  It’s a bypass halo so I was concerned about it being too big. Shrug. Lol
