@MARIE901: Fingers crossed for you that you are just not as far along as you thought. My miscarriage was natural so I can't help with personal experience. But this post from Bee on Hellobee might be interesting, she went through something similar: http://www.hellobee.com/2011/09/23/the-journey-to-charlie-part-3/
I'm hoping that your story turns out well... there's a chance that this could go on to be a normal pregnancy.
My experience wasn't so great-- I had a missed miscarriage. I went into my 1st appointment at 7 weeks. The baby was measuring 5w6d. So about a week behind. We saw a heartbeat, but it seemed very slow. Over the next three weeks, we went back two times- the first time the baby was measuring even further behind, and then the second time the baby had stopped growing and there was no heartbeat. I had to have a D&C at 10 weeks, because my body didn't recognize the miscarriage. I'm only sharing my story because you wanted information... I know that mine is a negative outcome and that is not what you are looking for!
There is a chance that you aren't as far along as you thought you were, or that you implanted late, etc. The biggest thing the doc will be concerned about is CONSISTENT growth. So if the baby grows 5-7 days within a week, then that will be good. If the baby only grows a little bit bigger over a longer period of time, then the doc might have a concern.
GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK! And if this doesn't turn out the way you hope, please feel free to PM me for support and information. GOOD LUCK!
My experiences did not go well, however, with a very good friend of mine they said they only saw the sac at 6w1d. 4 days later at another u/s there was a heartbeat, so ya never know.
Oh, and PS- I had the same thing as mwitter. I had a friend who went in at 6 weeks and they only saw a sack. But when she went in a week later there was a heartbeat and her pregnancy is still going strong!
@MARIE901: I don't have any experience with this but I wanted to pop in and give you *hugs* and let you know that I'm sending positive thoughts your way!
@HopingToBeaMama: Thanks so much for sharing your story. I am prayerful and I'm trying to remain positive, but it's hard. my hubby has even been an emotional wreck because of it.
@mwitter80: I think I remember reading your story on another post, but than you for sharing as well. Thanks for sharing the story about your friend as well. I pray it all goes well, but we'll know for sur eon Tuesday.
@shimmerofheaven: Thanks! I guess I should post my update in the September baby board, too. since I am apart of it. :)

This is not intended to be insensitive to anyone's prior losses, but my doctor's believe (even though they are not flat out saying it) that my pregnancy may not be viable. I found out I was pregnant on 1/19. I took pregnancy tests and the lines only seemed to get darker. I thought that was a good sign. Saturday (2/4), as I was about to get in the shower, I noticed some brownish/pink spotting. I freaked out and called my husband. He rushed home from work and we went to the emergency room. According to my LMP, I should have been 6w6d. The ER did an ultrasound and only saw a gestational sac. The ER doctor diagnosed me with a "threatened miscarriage". My first doctor's appointment fell on that monday (2/6) which was good b/c the ER doc told me to follow up with my doc. I had another ultrasound and only a gestational sac was seen, but it measured 5w5d. My doctor said I could just be earlier than I thought because my periods range from 26-37 days. She also did bloodwork to see if my HCG was increasing as it should. tuesday, the doc office called and said that my HCG levels rose from 5734 (at the ER on Saturday) to 6974. She said that they would have liked the levels to rise more than that and I may be having a missed miscarriage. She scheduled me for another ultrasound on Tuesday and I guess that will tell if the pregnancy is truly viable. I've been a complete mess. While I know this is not the final diagnosis, I've had nothing but worries that it could be. It took us 7 months to get this far (not too long, but long enough) and I am crushed that this may not be a viable pregnancy. Does anyone have any experience with blighted ovums or missed miscarriages? Or does anyone have ny stories where they only saw the gestational sac and wen tback a week later and saw a baby and a heartbeat? Please help. Any info is good. TIA.
