HeyHuey bees! I have a specific question about Cornell Notes. I have been researching it, but my query does not have a specific answer. I want to introduce to my students next week, and I won’t be effective if I am unsure. Can any Bee help a sista out?

I have. What is your question?

@Bellagiobride: I’ve used them/taught them to my students. What do you want to know about them?

I think teaching students how to use this tool would be a good idea, but please do not require your students to take notes in this style. It hinders the learning for those of us who have our own style that works best for us. I’ve had classes before where it was required and it was awful.

I was taught how to take Cornell notes back in junior high and I hated it! To me, it wasted lots of paper and the style just irked me lol! Teach how to take Cornell notes, but don’t force your students to use them if they prefer a different method, in my opinion.
