DH & I want to hire a professional company to come clean the carpets in our home we rent. We dont have much carpet, but with dogs, we feel a good deep cleaning would do wonders. I was wondering if anyone had hired stanley steamer or a similar company before and were you happy with the results? Thanks bees!

I used them just before Xmas for the first time in my new house. I had an area of the carpet that smelled funky/mildewy in certain weather, and they used the enzyme spray they had and I haven’t been bothered by it since!
The carpet still looks ugly (I was hoping some worn areas would look more even with the rest), but I felt better about it being clean.
One thing is ask about any extra charges… They offered to do my 3 2×3 area rugs in the hall, and the two guys were debating the price – one told me it would be about $3 each, the other put it into their little calculator and came up with $25 or $30 each! In the end I think they settled on like $5 each, but if they offer any extras, be very clear on the price before they begin!

Hi! My fi owns his own carpet cleaning company. I strongly suggest looking on yelp for a smaller company. Make sure they have a truck mount like stanley steemer but self owned. Stanley can get super expensive and since theres a ton of guys working for them you may always get a different experience. usually guys who own their own companies take more pride in their work! 🙂

Barbiestylez: I had NEVER heard of Stanley Steamer until I saw this video on youtube, which cracked me up.
It’s probably no help to you, but I felt I should share it.

I used stanley steamer when I was renting back in 2006 when I moved out. It was great.
Recently we steam/cleaned our carpets (we have all carpet upstairs) and rented a machine from Home Depot for $30. It really worked great, we went over it about 3 times just because the nursery and such, but it smelled so fresh and got out pet hair (and my hair) lol.
I would recommend checking that out, too.

Loandrob2014: Thanks! This particular branch of stanley had amazing reviews and good price point. We rent our home now so I dont want to break the bank! They are coming Monday so hopefully they do great work!
chronicwhimsy: LMAO, yep… sounds about right.
BellaDee: We have the Bissell Big green machine shampooer which is like 400$ professional grade, but I feel like we need a super deep cleaning because we are moving out of this home in a few months so we want to make it fresh& nice before we leave.
