Has anyone had diamond studs reset into halos?

I haven’t, but I just wanted to say that I think diamond studs look really nice on their own. If you’re thinking of it because of their size, I strongly don’t believe that diamond studs can be too small. The smaller ones just look more elegant and understated that way (making the ears/face look more delicate), and can be worn in the daytime and more often in general. (As you can tell I think small diamond studs are a real classic!)

If you really don’t like them the way they are, have you considered some kind of drop earring that incorporates them?

Do a search for earring jackets.  That way you can wear them both ways.

@Ylluf:  I had no idea these existed!!!!! Holy crap. I have been wanting to wear my diamond studs that my parents got me a while back (I’m a sucker for sentimental things) on my wedding day, but I was worried they were to plain! These could be perfect! I hope you understand how excited this just made me.

There are many different shapes of earring jackets.  I wear hoops so I got hoop jackets.  as to your original question , yes a jeweler can do what you wish.

@blushpinkbride:  I have diamond earring jackets that are halos.  I just insert my diamond studs into them.  This way I get to switch them up.  I have diamond earring jacket hoops and 3 different style jackets that I pop the studs into.  Gives you variety and diversty and you don’t have to have them set.
