My wedding dress was supposed to be in in June (Yes. JUNE) and it did not come in until SEPTEMBER!!!!! Good thing I ordered it way early!!! I think sometimes these things just happen but it is really frustrating! I would keep calling the store, that's what I did.
My flower girl dresses were a horror story like that. They didn't come in until a WEEK before the wedding, less than even, and they weren't even the correct color, were poor quality, etc. We'd call, and they said they'd call us back and they didn't, or they wouldn't answer, they said they were in, but then went my aunt went to pick it up it wasn't there, etc. ugh. We were told it's wedding season so that's why it took so long. It really isn't the store's fault usually (since they are technically the middle man between you and the designers), but it's still really annoying and stressful. Took from early January until the end-ish of May to get FLOWER GIRL dresses. Even my big honking wedding dress was in sooner, as well as all of the bridesmaid dresses, but they were ordered from different places. Good luck!
My dress came in late and it was the most nerve racking thing. According to my alterations woman, all the dresses are coming in late this year. Because of the economy, the factories that make the dresses didn't expect as many orders so they laid people off. Unfortunantly, their buisness didn't slow down as much as the expected, and everyone is running behind. Apparently, Maggie Sottaro was hit quite badly.
My Jim Hjelm dresses were 5 weeks late.... and my David's Bridal dress was late because they notify you by email, not by phone and they had mispelled my email address... go figure :) definitely keep in contact with the store... we had one in Charlotte go out of business and they just closed the doors to everyone and basically if you didn't have your dress, you were just SOL.

I ordered a bridesmaid dress for my wedding dress and was told it would take 13 weeks. This seemed like a little long for a bm dress, but I didn't really think too much of it. In fact, the store owner's husband happened to be there when I made the order and he told me they usually come in much sooner.
Last week was week #13. After a few days, I called the shop and asked if they had heard anything. I was told that they were expecting the shipment from UPS and it should be there in 1 or 2 days. I was also told that she would call me as soon as it came in.
Well, it is now week #14. No dress, no phone call. I called today on my way to work, but all I got was a voicemail. I do have to admit that it was during a time when many people go out to lunch, so she could have gone to grab a bite to eat.
Am I overreacting? Do I just have some pre-wedding craziness? I'm really nervous about the store going out of business and me never getting my dress in time for the wedding.
