If this post sounds familiar, it’s because its a replica of the one I posted a few days and got no comments on. 🙁 I am seriously considering booking the band we saw in atlantic city. They perform at Harrah’s on sunday nights as well as some bars in Jersey and PA. Has anyone heard them? I need a second opinion. If not, does anyone know a great band that has a lot of energy and does a lot of 80’s rock? This particular band has lots of props: wigs, sunglasses, hats, etc. We thought they were a lot of fun but not impressed with their promotional video and really second guessing myself.
Thank you hive!

I just looked them up on Youtube … omg they seem like they’d be so fun!

Check out Big Bang Baby too… when I used to live in NJ I used to see them all the time. They are fun and do lots of 80’s 90s covers. Good luck!

Thank you soo much for replying. I have been stressing out about this for a few days and I even tried contacting some of the brides on the band’s facebook page. I am just a little concerned that their vocals are not particularly impressive. Are you going with a band or a dj and how did you find them?

I booked Drop Dead Sexy for my August 27th wedding almost a year in advance. Unfortunately because of Hurricane Irene they decided (with LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE) that they would not be able to perform. I understand if they were worried about the weather and leaving their families behind for the night but Chris AKA Ducky a member of the band was in contact with us throughout the week when there were PLENTY of warnings about the weather and he promised us up and down that they would be there no matter what “even if they had to play using a generator” he said. At 8pm on Friday night (during our rehearsal dinner) he told us that they were planning to stay near our wedding venue after they played. Two hours later (10pm and still during our rehearsal dinner) he called and told my fiance (now husband) that they were not coming and we had to start calling DJs. Like I said, I understand if you need to cancel, but be a professional about it and give us some notice. IRONICALLY, my cousin is friends with an amazing DJ who drove through the night from Philadelphia (THE PLACE WHERE DROP DEAD SEXY CLAIMS TO BE BASED) and played at our Saturday wedding and was able to DRIVE BACK HOME on Sunday back to Philly. I’m sure Drop Dead Sexy is a great wedding band, since that is why we wanted them in the first place, but I want to warn other brides that they are completley unprofessional!
