I got engaged up in Tahoe and we stayed at http://www.lakeland-village.com/resort.php/LAKELAND_VILLAGE/OVERVIEW
They have a lot of options, on the lake, for hotel room, condo rental etc. It was great!!!
EDIT: I think this may have been the resort next to the one we stayed at actually. I cant remember the name though of the one we stayed at

Vrbo.com (vacation rentals by owner) is a website where you can view listings by owners for Lake Tahoe. They have pictures and rates listed. Good luck!
I love VBRO! I looked there last night and found this beauty...http://www.vrbo.com/96089 but It doesn't say that it overlooks the lake and there are a lot of steps to climb...I dunno. I will keep looking.
Lol! so do I. I used it couple years ago for vacation. The one you looked up looks REALLY nice! Maybe you should email them through the listing and find out of it's on the lake.

If so where did you stay?
I was thinking of renting a home with a porch overlooking the lake but have no idea where to search.
I'm not ruling out hotels either (I kinda like the idea of everything a hotel would include) but would still want a grat view.
Any siggestions would be greatly appriciated!
