I had my friends and family all get me a brooch. So they got them from all over. Some were vintage others were new. That way they could all contribute a little something sentimental for me to have. I made them into stems myself with some crafting wire. Then I went to Whole Foods and asked the floral department to put them in a bouquet for me. The flowers are garden roses. I wanted peonies, but they were out of season. They ordered in a bunch of different types of garden roses and let me pick the colors I wanted. I told the florist my budget and they assembled it for me.

Note: the bumble bee brooch was from my then-fiance. He got it for me because of my love of wedding bee. 🙂

@beekiss:   I think they are satin or maybe faux satin. The base flowers were from wal mart and almost all of the brooches are from ebay. There are a few sellers you can buy lots from where they are all the same color scheme. I picked a few colors for mine and just did grey pearl brooches for my two bms. They were a lot of work….about half way through I regreted my choice but in the end I’m glad I have it!

I’m making my brooch bouquet as well. I have 47 brooches all wired and wrapped. Now its about putting them together. If you’re needing help, check out youtube for several “how to” videos. That’s where I’m learning how to do mine.
