I posted before about my interest in ordering a gown from Olive, at Cara Bridal. Before I take the plunge, I’d like to order some swatch samples. 3 swatches of the satin, and 1 swatch of the lace. She quotes me $30, with $25 shipping. Olive also gave me the pay pal address, that the shop uses. BUT—without a custom listing, how does this work? Are you still “checking out” through Etsy? I don’t think so, and it seem’s a little uneasy to me.
So, has anyone else ordered samples from Olive? How did you go about it—what was the process? How long did it take to recieve them?

They have only 4 reviews all recent and all posted within 3 weeks of each other and one review of someone from a website, take that into consideration before continuing. That amount for samples seems excessive. These are all huge red flags to me.

I agree. That does seem rather steep for samples
Olive is new. Her shop opened on Etsy in December. If you are not familar with how Etsy works, I will explain. Once you receive the item, they let you know when you can write a review. It is not like ebay where once you get the item, you can review immediately, at least from all of my purchases from Etsy. I had to wait a week to 2 weeks to write a review. Not sure why they have it set up like that. Once more ladies get their dresses, more than likely she will get more reviews.
