We did… both the band and e-ring.  I’ve had mine for… 6 months now.  It’s in great shape, perfect like when I got it.  Never cloudy, sparkly as ever.

Yes, there are several people I have told outright (close friends/family)…but generally no, they do not ask and those I’ve told can’t tell the difference, so I would assume everyone else thinks they are diamonds.

I was actually proposed to with a diamond which I did not want for personal ethical and economical reasons.  The diamond-look is really more from my husband, because he felt it would look badly on him if he did not buy me a “diamond” (sigh), so this is where this whole search thing actually came from and me stumbling on Sitaragem.

The quality and weight are fantastic.  The e-ring is very heavy and marked with 14k stamp and nothing else.

They do not, in my opinion, sparkle anymore than a regular high-quality diamond.  I opted for a E/F color instead of D/E.  I highly considered buying a Moissanite, but when I saw them in the dept store, I was concerned about how excessively sparkly they were and ultimately did not choose them… you might like them or Asha as well.

Their customer service is absolutely astounding… I kid you not, I ordered the Lauren II set at first, and did not like the size and overall complexity of the set, and customer service was nothing but amazing.  The lady, Nancy, I traded over 75 emails with on making my second decision and she walked me through everything.  I ended up with the Jazlyn and Ophelia band.  They do custom work as well.

I did email Asha, but it took 3 days for their customer service team to even respond to me, and Sitara seriously coddled me every-stinkin-step of the way.

Like withy any other purchase, make sure to read their return policy.  As long as you don’t take the little tags off the rings when you get them or get them all jacked up–basically if you take them out of the box and you don’t like them, they will return them absolutely no problem at all.

They came in a heavy, wooden box in perfect condition.  And they come with a lifetime warranty.

Hope this helps!

I’m skeptical of Sitragem. To me, they look like another Diamond Nexus Labs. They make out their product to be some kind of miracle stone without ever actually saying what it is, which is sketchy to me. I’d be willing to bet it’s just normal CZ that may or may not have a special coating. Diamond Nexus Labs have been scamming people for years with the same thing: saying they make some awesome man-made diamond, but all they sell is just regular CZ, No coating, no nothing.

Here is a thread I found on the BTD forums discussing Sitragem.

Frankly, their prices are too low for me to believe that they are really making some awesome lab-made gemstone (which is a very expensive and lengthly process).

Just my $0.02. I know that @crystalrodz seems very happy with her ring, which is great (I don’t mean to offend you!), but Sitragem still looks questionable to me, and I certainly wouldn’t buy from them.

@DeathByDesign:  Thanks for your reply, but I don’t see what this has to do with what the OP asked.  I mean I can see if you came here doing a shoutout for Moissanite, but this, I don’t see how you can possibly think you aren’t offending me now.

I think this would be the time and place where you keep your opinion to yourself because you haven’t seen, wore or owned a Sitaragem and can’t possibly know for a fact if it’s “another Diamond Nexus Labs” or “normal CZ”.  And you know what?  I’m so tired of your comments that I COULD CARE LESS if that’s what it is.

Their product is beautiful and I have had “regular CZ” jewlery before, and there is  BIG difference.

So unless you have some kind of concrete evidence that Sitaragem is just a piece of regular CZ, worked in their labs, or have a relative that works there, I think your speculation is just rude an unecessary.  I don’t come on Moissanite threads and say how I think they look like costume jewelry and tell you what a rip off the brandname is for a lab-produced stone.  I’ve been nothing but supportive of that choice through and through–hell I almost bought one myself until I saw the damn thing in person.

I don’t get it?????? So hateful.

@Lou947: And one more thing, to you Lou, yes, Diamond Nexus Labs is under serious scrutiny.  If you look at their BBB rating it’s an A-, but look at all the complaints they’ve had!  Over 20 or something.  Sitaragem has never had one.  I won’t deny that this is probably a CZ core with some kind of coating, but I didn’t want a diamond or a Moissanite, and their product is absolutely beautiful.

If that’s not for you, then you might try an alternative like Moissanite, possibly Asha, like I mentioned before.  If you want to know anything else, please PM me.  I really don’t want to talk about Sitara on the board anymore because of crap like this.

The OP asked about Sitragem, I gave my opinion. That is completely relevant. I almost bought from there myself when I started researching diamond sims (first site I found when I searched “man made diamond” into Google that faithful day I decided I was not going to buy a diamond lol)

I’m also not toting moissanite. I did not mention any other sim options in my post.

I don’t see how I’m being hateful or nasty. I am merely giving my own opinion on the company and why I didn’t buy from them. My post was in no way a personal attack, I just mentioned some things the OP should consider before buying any diamond sim on the internet.

What is sitaragem?

@deetroitwhat:  And I actually DBD’s reply was exactly what the OP was looking for but did not explicitly state.  She wants reviews on them.  DBD wasn’t being rude, she just pointed the OP to some negative reviews.

Has anyone else purchased one of their rings?  You haven’t.

If so, what do you think of the quality of the setting and stone(s)?  Can’t answer this either unless you own one or have bought from them.

Unless I missed the question that said: “What is your opinion with absolutely no proof behind it about Sitaragem” then I can see how your answer would be relevant.

Whatever.

@heather25: Yeah I get what you’re saying but this is thread #2 I’ve dealt with her attitude about Sitaragem and the product she’s not seen.  I was actually wondering when she would make her way over to this thread, and I didn’t have to hold my breath long 🙂

It’s just a company that makes a diamond simulant–not a synthetic.  I think they call it a diamond “alternative”.

WTH!  Why so emotional.  It’s just info.  That’s what OP was asking for.  I simply asked what the stone was and said that DBD’s answer was ok.  My goodness!  Someone needs to chill or at least have a civil discussion.
