Has anyone tried Isogenix?

I’ve used it.  It’s an entire nutritional system.  There’s different packages you can buy, or you can purchase the products individually.

DH and I still use the shakes, but aren’t using the entire system right now.  It is expensive, however, if you consider that you’re replacing two meals/day with shakes, your monthly cost is pretty comparable to eating healthy with food bought at the grocery store.

It’s also convenient.  Being able to take a shake packet (they come in tubs and individual packages) with you and have a healthy meal wherever you are is helpful.  Especially if you get stranded somewhere that you’d normally turn to fast food or whatever’s easy.

In terms of how the cleanse systems work, there’s a number of different ways you can go about it, and there’s a number of Isagenix support groups on facebook that can give details.

I settled into shake days, and then did 2 days cleanses back to back for two weeks, then did 2 full weeks of shake days.

so basically:

S   M   T   W   Th  F  S

S   S   S   C   C   S   S

S   S   S   C   C   S   S

S   S   S   S   S   S   S

S   S   S   S   S   S   S

Where S is a shake day and C is a cleanse day.  I never felt overly hungry, and was able to lose a substantial amount of weight if I followed the plan properly and added moderate to high intensity workouts.

My best results were 15 lbs and 8 inches lost in a month, but that was when I was super dedicated to following the plan.

I need to add that it’s not a scary digestive cleanse.

Might be TMI, but I never had anything scary happen bowel wise during cleanse days.  I peed more than normal, but that’s also associated with drinking loads of water on cleanse days.

I also found that my nose was runnier than normal, one day my eye were a bit bloodshot (drinking the weekend before cleansing isn’t smart), but generally felt well on cleanse days.  Some people get headaches (caffiene withdrawal) and chills but nothing too serious.

My great aunt swears by it. She tried everything including a gastric band to lose weight and isagenix is what did it for her – it stuck better than whatever “rules” they gave her to follow with the gastric band.
